The slightly muddy manual

SlopScape FAQ

An honest guide to the realm, the risks, and the wonderfully improvised road ahead.

What is SlopScape?

SlopScape is a passion project: a browser MMO idle RPG guided by one developer's vision and built with heavy AI coding assistance. I steer the direction, but the game itself is shaped as much by the community as by me — bug reports, quest ideas, and gameplay feedback from people who actually play it.

Is the game finished?

Not even close — SlopScape is very pre-alpha. Systems, balance, art, content, and performance are all still moving targets, and right now the focus is getting gameplay and PvP balance right, which takes real players pushing on it to find. Use the Feedback option in the Options menu (or the Discord) to report bugs, suggest quests, or say what feels off — it genuinely shapes what gets built next. Once the game reaches a more solid, balanced state, there will be a character wipe so everyone gets a clean, fair start.

How does player combat work?

Towns are safe zones where players cannot attack one another. Outside those settlements, open-world PKing is enabled subject to combat-range, party, skull, and risk rules.

What makes it an idle RPG?

Gathering and similar activities can repeat while a resource lasts. The authoritative server controls rewards and interruptions, and dangerous PvP or combat progress never runs while you are offline.

Where can I play?

The client is designed for desktop and phone browsers. Accounts and progression are stored by the SlopScape server.
